Dear College Community,
It was a beautiful Mother鈥檚 Day weekend here in San Francisco. Hope many of you were able to celebrate your mothers and thank them for their work, which is never done. While in the United States we celebrate Mother鈥檚 Day on the second Sunday of May, throughout M茅xico, Guatemala and El Salvador, Mother鈥檚 Day is always celebrated on May 10. 隆Feliz D铆a de Las Madres!

After months of discussions and a couple of weeks of long hours of negotiations, late last Friday we reached a tentative agreement with AFT 2121 to rescind all full-time faculty lay-off notices. The 亚洲疯情 Library has a long tradition of supporting programs and providing resources in support of Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month (May) and other celebrations throughout the year which heightened cultural diversity.
